Lee Briggs 30for30th Fundraiser 2010

Celebrating his 30th birthday, Lee Briggs rode 30 continuous hours on his bike - over 275 miles, from his home in Corte Madera, to BORP's bike house in Berkeley - visiting Cloverdale, over a hundred miles north, in between. His ride started 6am Saturday morning. I stayed with Lee the first 4 hours of his ride, then caught up with him again Sunday morning for portions of the last 6 hours of his epic journey, finishing at noon at BORP's bike house in Berkeley. This guy is awesome. To donate to Lee's ride, visit borp.org, or use your corporate giving option at work. Check out Lee's blog for more photos and information: 30for30th.

  • Just before 6am, the sky is getting lighter. Conditions mild. Not too cold. No wind. Lee's wife Melissa comes out to wish Lee a good ride. Melissa and their daughter Matilda will join up with Lee later in the ride.
